Room for improvement

Cues in front of the showers. Not nice beach and not supervised at the camp ground. Animation mostly in french. Nice pool area. Professional staff.

Site was ok.

Site was ok but not enough space around the pool for relaxing. Pitch had no sunlight due to trees and on the main path to all other pitches and static pitches creating constant noise of people passing.

Camping Sandaya L'Anse du Brick Maupertus-Sur-Mer

I would not of thought this was a sandaya, the pictures are completely different to the actual camps

I would not of thought this was a sandaya, the pictures are completely different to the actual campsite. Pump track was over grown, are pitch was within throwing distance of the toilet block and caravan disposal which was not nice. We had to ask for a table although it should have been completed. The Wi-Fi is no Wi-Fi unless you sit at the front of reception. There are no local shops, they neglect to advise prior to your arrival to make sure you have things! This includes breakfast items.

We had an issue with our accommodation which was dealt with promptly. Unfortunately the issue persisted. Although it was addressed quickly again, it did impact our stay and the level is satisfaction with our accommodation. Nearby Sarlat and surrounding areas are very beautiful.

Toilet block issues

Shower block 1 did not have hot water. There was also an issue with toilet paper running out regularly and the supplies were loose rolls and not replenishing of toilet roll dispensers. This lead to people taking the rolls or dropping them on wet floors.

First impressions

On arrival to our accommodation, curtain across door has been torn and hand repaired, bad job, looks tatty, floor by fridge wet, then opened fridge full of water, you have to turn fridge off on leaving, which means arrival person clears up. Shop has nothing hardly in it. Went to Flower camping week before, sheets wi fi included.

Disappointing

Despite paying extra for a premium cabin, it was not very clean on arrival, no sun loungers (told I couldn’t have any by reception), no recycling bin in room and no blind on lounge window. Need better cleanliness in accommodation and grounds need litter cleaned on smaller paths, need more helpful reception and bar staff, need smooth tiles to water slides as really hurt feet, need more information on what’s available to do at campsite and timings - app was not accurate, need lights in premium area turned on in evening as dangerous walking in dark back to accommodation especially with children, upgrades to all play parks would be good, lack of options in very small shop - no cold drinks in refrigerators, no vegetarian food in restaurant other than bad quality pizza. An on-site creperie would be good. Opening hours for food service very confusing. Bins too far away and inconvenient to get to. Campsite entrance could do with a big upgrade - not very appealing looking when entering grounds. Lack of car parking at reception. All accommodations should have sun loungers and recycling bins. Overall underwhelming, won’t be back and would not say this is 5 star - more like 4 star. Don’t bother bringing bikes and scooters for kids as very hilly site and paths not smooth. Best thing was pool area and location, Sarlat very beautiful only 15 min drive.

Good place to stay with Caravan when going to Paris

Nice place for our caravanmobile. Shop, restaurant and play areas were nice. Minus because there was no warm water in the shower or dishes whole weekend, in other cottage there was warm water, but near reception was cold water. Also, the pony looked starwed, meaning there is not enough food for the pony. It is not enough, when tourist feed the pony, it should be feeded every day with proper food, not just walk around in the evenings and let it eat grass for 30 min. It was too thin, the ponys bones were show. Also minus because mens swimming shorts were not allowed to use in the pool. The shorts were meant for swimming, still it was not allowed to use. Reception personnel were nice and helpfull. Nice distance to Paris with train.
