Camping Sandaya La Grande Côte La Barre-de-Monts

Great Holiday

Very nice site. Excellent food options and lovely veranda and bbq area. My son really enjoyed the kids club and meeting French children even though he is only 9 and can?t speak French yet. The nearest beach and village is close by as well as the forest with lots of walks and cycle routes.

We had a brilliant stay at mont saint michel. The pool was amazing. Facilities were really clean and

We had a brilliant stay at mont saint michel. The pool was amazing. Facilities were really clean and staff were friendly. The only reason it doesn't receive a 10 is that you can't go in the gym before the pool opens as its the same entrance as the pool. you also have to take your shoes off to get through to the gym. It could really do with its own entrance to the gym. The entertainment only seemed to be on on a weekday and not the weekend. It also very central to the campsite so can be heard pretty much everywhere and it doesn't start while 9 o'clock.

We had a wonderful time with all the family celebrating my Dad's 80th Birthday.

We had a wonderful time with all the family celebrating my Dad's 80th Birthday. The only small small points I will make are we didn't know we had to book 24 hours in advance for the tennis + the evening entertainment was not as good as other Sandayas we have stayed at. Overall we had a wonderful holiday.

Only criticism is that I believe the bar etc is not dog friendly? It would have been nice to have a section where we could have visited???

The camping and the accommodation is amazing, very clean and brand new. Though being small, the house is equipped with everything you need. It could be good to know in advance the way to the beach and especially back is a bit challenging if you travel with kids.

La única pega que le pondría es que falta sombra en las parcelas y la tienda es carísima. La atención por parte de todos los trabajadores, recepción, animación, etc de 10. Son encantadores.la limpieza de los baños es constante, cosa que veo por primera vez en un camping.

Sehr schöne, gepflegte Anlage mit Supermarkt, Restaurant, Bar, Waschmaschinen - alles da, was man braucht. Sehr nettes Personal. Super schöner Strand, leider ohne Liegen. Schöne Unterkünfte, werden aber 4-5 Sterne nicht gerecht. Wir haben einen schönen, erholsamen Urlaub verbracht.

We loved the site. Staff were great as was the entertainment. Our pitch with a premium pitch with private wc and a great one. Shop wasn?t too overpriced as it is in a great location. The only downside I would say which became a big irritation by the end of the holidays was the sunbeds round the pool. There just weren?t enough and even though all the rules say no reserving this happened daily and we never saw anyone challenged. Highly frustrating as at other sites the system just works as people don?t abuse it. This is something that the site needs to address more effectively

Lovely clean campsite, exactly as expected from Sandaya. Pool area lovely although be warned, gents need to wear tight shorts. Accommodation excellent and all the normal facilities you would expect. The surrounding area is gorgeous too with lovely walks each way along the Loire and a vineyard around the corner (tours 5 euros on Tue and Wed). Only word of caution, the site is aimed much more at young children, there is no entertainment for older kids / adults, nothing around the bar in the evening, the stage is not near the bar so it just isn’t set up for this sort of entertainment. There was something on every night but aimed at younger kids. But a lovely holiday.
