Insgesamt ein schöner mittelgroßer Camping Platz mit schönem Pool, großzügig gestellten Mobile Holmes und Animationsprogramm. Wir hatten eine Mückenplage, leider gab es an den Fenstern keine Mückenschutzgitter. Dies sollte unbedingt nachgeholt werden. Ansonsten wären kostenloses WLAN, mehr Schatten bei den Liegen am Pool und humanere Preise an der Snack Bar wünschenswert.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub. Die Überdachung der Terasse war super, so konnte man entspannt im Schatten sitzten. Die Wildschweine, die ab und zu vorbeikamen haben uns überhaupt nicht gestört. Die Animation am Abend war ansprechend. Die Poolanlage fanden wir schön, es war für jeden etwas dabei. Allerdings sind die Platten sehr rutschig und wenn man genau hinschaut liegt tagelang an den selben Stellen der Dreck. Die Animation am Pool war oft sehr laut. Auch kostenloses WLAN haben wir vermisst. Man ist doch viel am googlen nach Ausflügen und Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung. Aber das ist jammern auf hohem Niveau:-) Sandaya steht für uns für tollen Urlaub. Vielen Dank.

Camping Sandaya Château des Marais Muides Sur Loire

Great site - just missing out on 5 star though

Overall a quiet and peaceful campsite - we stayed in the premium Newton area. The lodge was great and spacious and well equipped. However, the lodge was for 5 people but only a sofa for 3. A corner sofa would have been better that could have accommodated us all comfortably in the evening (especially as the weather meant we couldn't enjoy the outdoor terrace as much as we would have liked). The grounds could do with basic maintenance, for example the gravel on our pathway had worn away so when it rained (which it did quite heavily) it was really muddy in parts - could have been avoided if path properly maintained. Our children were desperate to play mini golf which we did but the area was poorly maintained. Cracks in the course and needed weeding and an overhaul. Swimming area great but main area quite cold compared to the lazy river, we went in May half term and the weather was not great. English visitors beware they require men to wear tight swim shorts. We weren't informed about this prior to our holiday and my husband was therefore not allowed to use the pool. can purchase from the shop (for an inflated price!) Children's play areas could do with an overhaul - very basic and limited. Bar is quite expensive and not great quality. We are being picky though as we would have definitely used the pool more had the weather been on our side. value for money it was great. It was cheaper to stay here than camp in Cornwall in the UK over the May half term! I would not class as a five star site though. Sort out the mini golf and the general grounds upkeep and could be.

Asked reception 3 times over 3 days for glasses to drin and to fix a fault message on our dishwasher

Asked reception 3 times over 3 days for glasses to drink from and to fix a fault message on our dishwasher, never received or fixed anything, sewage was coming out of a manhole near our pitch, spoke to reception, 5 hours later someone came to fix it, still spewing the next morning, no barrier round it or warning signs. The pool was cold, we asked last year why it was so cold and was told the heating was broken, it was either broken again this year or they couldn't be bothered to lie to us. We've been going to this site for 7 years, and in all those years even though the takeaway advertised crepes, they are either not being made or have sold out, yes 7 years. Shame because the accommodation was good, poorly designed but still clean and modern, and the site is quiet and doesn't feel over crowded until it's really busy.
