nice poorl and good food, room could have been a bit cleaner

nice pool inside and outside, good quality playground and very good restaurant we expected our room to be perfectly clean given the pricetag, it was OK, but could have been cleaner

A lovely campsite. We had a lovely stay there. Great atmosphere. Very clean. Staff all super help

A lovely campsite. We had a lovely stay there. Great atmosphere. Very clean. Staff all super helpful and kind. One complaint would be the lifeguard monitoring of the water slides. There was never a lifeguard stationed there, with no traffic light system either. At busy times there were children and young people coming down the slides dangerously close to each other, sometimes on top of each other. This really should be better monitored by campsite staff.

Camping Sandaya L’Île des Papes Villeneuve-lès-Avignon

Pretty Good.

Most of it was pretty good. Annoying being made to park outside when arriving and checking in. Upsetting to have a huge pile of dirty bedding and towels on our table on the decking for many hours and only taken away after we complained TWICE. It took time away from us enjoying our decking on the first evening and considering we only stayed 2 nights, that was very very disappointing.

Great resort overall

The restaurant food was okay but not brilliant and we thought it would be helpful to have some more options from the snack bar like toasties and salads plus more staff working on the bar at busy times. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

Another enjoyable stay!

Had a very enjoyable stay, pitch was good, facilities are kept very clean. A small issue on our arrival was dealt with immediately and resolved/ the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. There seemed to be an issue with wasps around the bar area, we couldn’t sit there with the kids, they were too nervous at the numbers of wasps. I know there’s probably not a lot can be done about that but it’s a pity as the area itself is lovely. For the size of the site, I think an investment in the shop would be worthwhile- to increase the options available etc, it’s quite small with limited items. A big disappointment is the lack of umbrellas at the pool, with fair skin, it’s not possible to sit there for hours! Even with factor 50, you can feel yourself burning within minutes- this meant that the kids got limited time at the pool everyday, because I just couldn’t sit in the sun! There is a very small area which is covered but it’s usually quite busy and as it’s quite a bit back from the pool, I can’t see the kids, so don’t feel comfortable being that far from them when they’re in the water! So I think my biggest suggestion is umbrellas for the pool area!!! All that said, it’s a fabulous site and we all had a great time!

All services related to the promise of Sandaya were to the highest level, just set up not the best.

All services related to the promise of Sandaya were to the highest level, however the location and set up of this camping make it more difficult to enjoy. The two areas seem disconnected, and the extra sport and leisure activities are as well quite isolated, therefore not inviting to be used. A bit of a shame, as the region is beautiful and enjoyable.

Fabulous villa accommodation, amazing staff overall, great facilities but let down by lacklustre activity staff and too much noise at night. Lots of great activities available but little instruction given, kids club did not look great, saw kids being left alone for periods of time. Staff in bar were not the friendliest. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves but I don't think we'll be back and will think carefully about going to another Sandaya.

Good location

It was a beautiful location despite the bad weather! Entertainment staff were not very enthusiastic and didn't really get people involved or seem bothered about running the activities in the daytime I had to ask twice for aqua to be run and was told ' with just you?' Toilet and shower facilities for Campers were not up to Sandaya's usual standard. I would not say this Sandaya was 5 star (having stayed at 3 other Sandaya sites) I would say 4 star really. All other 5 star Sandaya's have great facilities and shared family bathrooms for families, but this one has none of those nicer touches. It's a shame because the lake is lovely and the pool is good too.
