it was not what I expected it to be

the bar is bad, not very friendly, many people at the bar, you wait a long time until someone asks you what you want to drink at the bar in some moments, the food is not what I expected for the area in which it is located, the accommodations are not as they should be, the heating radiators rusty shower that does not look at all for the quality it should be, disappointing :(

Camping Sandaya Les Amis de la Plage Le Bois-Plage-en-Ré

Beautiful location but camping pitches offer no privacy

The location of the site is beautiful. Toilet and sanitary areas are very clean and well maintained. However the camping pitches are small and crowded providing very little privacy. Our pitch was just sand and dust which turned to mud on a rainy day. Drinking water tap was at the sanitary block, a good walk away. Overall, not worth the price I paid which was expensive in comparison to other 4 star sites I visited in France.

We arrived on our pitch which had not been prepared before our arrival. The grass was long and we had to request that it was done as we were booked in for more than 3 weeks. My wife and I have mobility problems and were unable to visit the restaurants or the beach as there are no disabled parking anywhere for us to use. The facilities for able bodied people on this site are excellent but do not fully meet the access needs of physically disabled visitors. Consideration for some disabled parking to allow us the opportunity to use all the facilities .

Dieser Gampingplatz hat auf keinen Fall 4 Sterne verdient, bestenfalls 2 Sterne. Auf den einzelnen Plätzen stand der sogenante Rasen bis zu 10 cm hoch. Die Strassen hatten Schlaglöcher und bei Regen entsprechende Pfützen. Die Sanitären Anlagen waren sauber aber leider veraltet. Das Duschwasser konnte nicht eingestellt werden und war so heiß, das man nicht dauerhaft Duschen konnte. Der überdachte Pool war O.K.

Die Mittagspause der Rezeption von 11-15 Uhr ist nicht nachvollziehbar. Man kann niemals genau wissen, wann man am Campingplatz ankommt. Besonders wenn man nur eine Übernachtung macht und etwas von Avignon sehen möchte, ist man stark eingeschränkt, da die Rezeption nur bis 19 Uhr dann geöffnet ist. Unser Stellplatz war soweit ok, jedoch der Anblick vom gegenüber liegenden Stellplatz hinterließ den Eindruck man steht auf dem Schrottplatz. Ich denke es war der Wohnwagen eines Dauercampers der schon längere Zeit nicht vor Ort war. Ich denke Sie möchten Ihren Gästen ein angenehmes Urlaubsgefühl vermitteln, dann frage ich mich, wieso man solch verkommene Parzellen zulässt?

Darüber hinaus waren die Sanitäranlagen sehr dreckig und ungepflegt. Die Seifenspender waren meist leer und Toilettenpapier ebenfalls häufig leer. In einem Bad war mehrere Tage der Abfluss in einem Bad defekt, so dass alles unter Wasser stand.

Camping Sandaya Le Moulin de l'Eclis Assérac

Camping pitches are too exposed to the wind, it ruins the whole place.

The playground was very good along with the trampoline. I also kitesurfed a lot while staying. However the camping pitches are so exposed to the wind and so is the water park. It made it feel much colder and wilder than it was. The beach side pitches were in a wind tunnel. It was windier at the camping pitch than on the beach trying to get the kite to fly. The advertising was inaccurate. When booking a beach side pitch, it made it look like you could walk on to the beach, however a fence protects the plants, so you can only access the beach along the same narrow path as everyone else. The beach is also not particularly nice. It?s big, but very tidal with silty, sludgey sand. The toilet block was unnecessarily plush. The water block could use some outdoor sinks for washing up. There could also be some sinks for washing up around the campsite. The area around the campsite seemed quite run down and not appealing. The grass was mostly gone on most of the camping pitches.

Der Campingplatz ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das betrifft natürlich auch die Waschhäuser.
