Overall good.

This was our first Sandaya experience and our impression overall was positive. The staff were helpful and friendly at both check in and for ad-hoc questions throughout the week. The Premium Nautilus area and accommodations were lovely. Our cabin had everything we required and the double bed was surprisingly comfortable. We were in cabin 680 which was tucked away and secluded through hedges - a really lovely spot. Only downside to the cabin was ants, who kept creeping in through holes in floor in kitchen. The only other negative side of Nautilus is unpacking. We were told we couldn’t drive down to unload and load, however others seem to move the barrier and do just that. The site itself, was clean and well maintained (except toilet in bar area which was filthy). Eating & Drinking - The description that we read before booking, intimated that there was a restaurant and a bistro as well as a bar. When we arrived there was a takeaway and a bistro……can’t be called a restaurant. As we received an email to complete satisfaction survey, I went back onto website to show how it is described and what there actually was and coincidentally this section has been removed and replaced by some photos which aren’t at all representative of what we found. We remember reading something about enjoying a drink in the bar/restaurant whilst overlooking children at pool. At no position from bar or the patio where kids entertainment takes place, can you see into pool. Now that this worded description has been removed, it makes me wonder whether other complaints have been received. Photos however, without clear labelling, will also lead to misunderstandings and frustrated customers. Location wise it’s great for touring Normandy coast and easy drive back to port for travel to UK. In future we would look to come again but would double check the holiday times as the whole of Holland appeared to be staying and our English speaking child didn’t join in at all because of language issues. I’m sure later in holidays there would be more English speaking families there.
