Clean, safe and lots to offer but quite remote

The campsite was safe, clean and had lots of activities on offer, most of who h you had to pay extra for. Staff were friendly and professional,but there were not enough of them so queues at times were long. Our unit was clean and well located, but we were surprised at the absence an oven, they only provide a microwave, nor any BBQ facilities. We had paid for one of the most expensive units so that was unexpected. The site is large, well tended and has a lovely lake. It is however 45-60 min drive from anywhere, so stocking up on groceries etc was essential to avoid spending hours in the car. There are also very, very, very few things to do locally that's not on site,you're a minimum an hour away from any attractions. If staying in one place and having everything on site is the main objective then the site is great, if you've got even a marginal interest in seeing anything else I would give it a miss. It just depends on what sort of holiday you're after.
